So for those who know me, and my wardrobe this won’t be a shock, for you new gorg fashion fillies, I’m a Mint Velvet Addict.

This amazing brand had 75% of my wardrobe, so when I was kindly invited to their Press Event, at the chic Sanderson hotels Spa, it was a must do. #MVAW14 was the hashtag, so you can look it up in twitter.

This collection was a step up in terms of being more fashion forward/cutting edge, the brand is a yummy mummy favourite and its known for its relaxed glamour, this season has a deep Gothic undertone. Which pushed all my buttons, everything is so tactile and textured , this current F/W 14 designs have sections of 90s influence and a 60s section, a fully sequin jumpsuit, studio 54 vibe, shouts I’m here but done in matte sequin gives it the MV voice.

MV is very much a utilitarian brand, practical but chic , graphics prints and chic Combat style pants and even a few, very trendy slogan tees, this is the class of 95, I spotted a clueless influence, in a couple of the pieces, and a Nod to the Victoria B designs in large cowl neck sweaters.

The party section for the Mint girl, was fabulously fun, a deep scarlet velvet trimmed shirt, had my name all over it, matte black sequin cropped tops and pony skin shoes, the MV girl knows her style and wants too look polished but not stuffy. The Mint Velvet brand launched in 2009 and its heading too its 5th birthday, and launching a new boutique in Cambridge. Its 21st store, my local Harpenden branch, is a hotspot for the local girls near me, and the staff are wonderful and even recommend things for as
they know my taste. I used some of the S/S collection during Hull Fashion Week, for Lizzie one of  the BBC radio presenters. While she was on stage, a cute 70s smock dress with pockets, I know Lizzie loved it.

I do believe once you know the brand, you can spot a MV piece,  they really think if their clients, by having a comfy home range, but if you have too answer the door, or run for milk or flight. They have cashmere pieces, I have a pair of pants for flying as so comfy and soft, but still elegant, the huggi range I believe its called.

I need a few pieces, which I spoke if in my you tube video, a pair of print. Black and white graphic pants and a long line shirt in a deep plum tone, so chic. I fully recommend going, into a store and trying out the line.
