I attended the Gucci press day in their offices opposite the Gucci Bond street branch, I went with Editor in Chief Fossy Meade. Greeted with a fresh cucumber juice, very hydrating, were shown the F/W 14 pieces, which was womenswear, menswear and accessories, which did include the new jewellery and watch line.

Gucci now have focused on a beautifully elegant watch line for the stylish gentleman, spending a lot on a fantastic Ad campaign, with a rather handsome chap at the fore front. I loved the 70’s vibe within the watches for men and women, this also echoed in the clothing collection, and into the shoe and bags, harking back to the original Gucci logo on many of the pieces, and the horse bit back onto the loaded. Which I may add I had worn mine with bit, so glad too see I’m on point.

The texture for this season is impeccable, I wanted to touch everything, mixes of tailored leather shirts, in the buttery soft deep taupe shades. Snakeskin was prominent in the shoes and bags, one stunning pair of pink python boots with a mohair jacket, so Gucci, bold and fabulous.

The mens line elegant as ever, touches of quirk in the silk ties and handkerchiefs, with uber slouchy soft over sized mens totes, which came in a deep cornflower blue it’s on my wish list. I really enjoyed this season, I think Gucci has really come on point and I
believe, this I’d definitely a Gucci customers taste. I loved the leather dresses, cut to perfection to skim the figure and a short hem line made it fun, and many of the dresses had silver stud’s. Punching up these lady like dresses, chicly executed cigarette style pants,
in a mix up of tones, my personal favourite a mustard colour, sat next too a navy Jackie O style jacket on the rail.

Texture without question is Huge at Gucci this season, pony hair, exotic skins and mixes of leathers and stud work. Its on the raydar for this fashionista, with some of the jewellery line at a great price point, new clients can buy, into the Guccio Gucci dream. As well as its regular fan base, I was a massive Fan of what Tom Ford did for the brand, and the current designer, has produced a wonderful infusion of vintage glamour with modern techniques and texture.
